Juan Gabriel in Bellas Artes, Mexico City


This is a song from the Concert at the Palacio de las Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts) in Mexico City. Juan Gabriel is one of the most famous singers-songwriters in Latin America and Spain, he has sold over 100 million albums over more than 30 years. I wrote the orchestration for this song performed by the Orchestra and Chorus of Bellas Artes and Juan Gabriel's musical group of that time (1998)

Art Tatum is the greatest pianist in jazz history... In this video I perform Art Tatum's arrangement of Juan Tizol's Caravan. Tatum's original 1940 recording can be heard on the CD "Art Tatum, California Melodies", Memphis Archives MA7007, 1994.
